Ayurved and homoeopathy cured Prince Charles of COVID-19

Claim: Ayurved and homoeopathy treatment cured Britain’s Prince Charles of COVID-19

This fake news peddled in leading newspapers in India that Ayurved and homoeopathy cured Prince Charles of COVID-19. Indian media has a reputation of making anything newsworthy just on the basis of word of mouth, Whatsapp messages and other unverified online contents.

The news triggered after AYUSH minister Shripad Naik, in a press briefing in Goa, asserted that treatment of Prince Charles through Ayurveda and Homeopathy has been successful.

Verdict: Hoax

A spokesperson for the Prince of Wales in London subsequently clarified the matter saying “This information is incorrect. The Prince of Wales followed the medical advice of the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK and nothing more.”
